Basic Bridge Lessons

Week 1, November 4: The deck and the deal, hand evaluation, intro to bidding & play
Week 2, November 13***: One No Trump opening bid and simple responses, leads THIS CLASS IS MOVED TO FRIDAY 9:30-11:30AM DUE TO VETERANS DAY
Week 3, November 18: Major suit openings and simple responses, scoring
Week 4, November 25: Minor suit openings and simple responses,
Week 5, November 2: No Trump responses to minor suit openings
Week 6, December 9: Declarer play, finesses, card combinations, managing entries
Registration will be through the South Windsor Senior Center
From the Senior Center Newsletter: Ann Hughes from the Community Bridge Club will be at the center to teach a 6 week beginners bridge class beginning Wednesdays, November 4 through December 9 from 12:30 – 2:30PM (no class 11/11: instead, Friday, 11/13 from 9:30-11:30 AM). Cost is $15 for all 6 weeks. Register in the office or online.
* Non-residents pay $30 per year additional to register for this and many other classes and activities. $45 for 6 classes is still only about $7 per class and the $30 entitles you to pay resident rates for many other classes and activities – maybe more bridge classes!
